2020
20.3cm x 35.7cm (8” x 14”)
A graphite pencil drawing of one of my favorite places on Earth, Seabeck Conference Center. (Specifically, this is a view from the Meeting House lawn featuring houses Reeser and Tamarack.) July Eliot, an annual family camp hosted here, has had a profound and lasting impact on my life. Seabeck has a special place in my heart, to say the least! I made this drawing in 2020, when I would have been at camp if it weren’t for the pandemic.
This drawing was created with the intent to make prints and give back half of the profits from selling each one back to Seabeck or Eliot Institute (to help make up lost revenue from all events being cancelled due to Covid-19, and to help with the construction of the the New Pines building, a much-needed replacement for an old dormitory and meeting space) or to any other good cause that the customer and I agree on.
